Wine Profile
Wine Profile / Tasting Notes
Ruby red color with violet reflections. The bouquet is intense with aromas of ripe red fruit, such has cherry, plums and blueberry, which you can find also on the palate. On the palate it is well balanced, with elegant acidity, great structure, and a persistent and fruity flavor.
Vineyard Notes
Soil: mostly Tufa, Clay and Calcareous. The vines have an average age of 35 years. The vineyards have a south-east exposure at an altitude of 220 meters above sea level.
Production Notes
All vilified in stainless steel. Refined for 5 months and then for extra 12 months in the bottle. 2,000 bottles produced per year.
Winemaker Notes
Barbera is one of the most famous red grape varieties of Piedmont. It is a full, important, austere wine capable of expressing different notes depending on the interpretation of the winemaker. Our barbera is vinified in steel and in purity (100% Barbera).
Food & Wine Pairing
Perfect with red meats, cheeses, cured meats, creamy risottos.
More Information
The company activity is mainly concentrated in the production of wines, from the autochthonous ones such as the Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato Docg, the real flagship of the area, the Grignolino d'Asti Doc, the Barbera d'Asti Docg, up to experience the rediscovery of an ancient vine called Slarina, almost unknown and non-existent. An important novelty is also the first production of 100% Riesling.
