"In wine, there is truth," said the ancients... and the undeniable quality of this wine proves it. This Vermentino is like no other! Aged sur lie for 30 months and partially refined in oak, it boasts an ample bouquet with floral and balsamic notes, hints of honey, and Mediterranean brush. On the palate, it is massive yet perfectly balanced by a generous fruity aftertaste. Very persistent with good minerality, this aged Vermentino is unique and strong!
Vineyard Notes
The vineyards are composed of predominantly sandy soils derived from decaying granite with a light clayish layer.
Production Notes
With a very limited production of just 3,300 bottles, this wine is crafted with meticulous care. After a gentle vacuum pressing of the grapes, the must is immediately cooled and clarified through cold settling. This is followed by a very slow fermentation at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks.
Winemaker Notes
Experts often compare Vino Veritas to the “Vins jaunes” of France, wines made in the Jura region—a lesser-known but fascinating area rich with hidden treasures. It is also comparable to the orange wines produced in northeastern Italy.
Food & Wine Pairing
Pairs exceptionally well with roast beef, fish soup and shellfish. Serve at 10° C / 50° F.
